The Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve is the best place in California to see California Poppies.  

Open fields of poppies covered most of California back in the 1700s.  But today, this is the last of those open fields left in the entire state.  

And the hills aren’t covered with just poppies.  There are at least 15 other wildflower species!  Besides, the orange poppies, I saw just 2 other wildflower species – the yellow flowers & the purple flowers.  All together, they were truly beautiful.
