VIDEO: Will Rogers State Park: A Hidden Gem in Los Angeles
Will Rogers was a superstar in his day – the #1 grossing box office star in 1934, followed by luminaries like Clark Gable, Mae West, Joan Crawford, Bing Crosby and Shirley Temple.
He made his home in Santa Monica – nearly 200 acres in the Santa Monica Mountains for horseback riding, roping, family and relaxation. When his widow died, she donated it to the state of California, and it’s now Will Rogers State Park.
Today, the 186 acres include the ranch house tours, where Rogers & his family lived, the historic barn, horse riding lessons & trail riding, polo games, hiking trails, and more.
In this video, I take you on a tour of this amazing state park.
